Dr. Emorane Lupanzula: Thank You from São Paulo to Cyprus
Dr. Emorane Lupanzula, hair transplant surgeon and head of Medikemos Clinic in Brussels, is one of the founding members of the World FUE Institute. With more than 20 years of experience in hair restoration, he has helped shape the WFI since its very first steps.
From 2022 to 2024, Dr. Lupanzula served as Vice President of the World FUE Institute. During this period, he played a key role in presenting the results of his clinical work to the international community and in collaborating with his peers, contributing to the continuous learning and improvement of the hair transplant field.
In recognition of his contribution, he then served as President of the 8th World FUE Institute Workshop in São Paulo, Brazil, in 2025, and of the 9th World FUE Institute Workshop in Limassol, Cyprus, held from May 13 to 16, 2026.
Under his presidency, the workshops brought together leading hair restoration surgeons, researchers and clinical teams from around the world. Each edition combined live surgery, scientific sessions and open discussion between experienced and emerging practitioners. The WFI workshop remains firmly rooted in cutting-edge science and innovation.
No workshop of this scale is the work of one person. “Without being exhaustive, I would like to give special thanks to my colleagues and friends for everything we have achieved together and for the time they devoted to organising these events: Dr. Tony Ruston, Dr. Jose Lorenzo, Dr. Ron Shapiro, all the other founding members, Dr. Anastasios Vekris, our host in Cyprus, and our former scientific directors, Dr. Bruno Pinto and Dr. Bruno Ferreira.”
Their collaboration, experience and shared passion for FUE have made the WFI workshops a reference for hair transplant surgeons worldwide.
